Our approach
Brand work sets the system. Day-to-day design is whether the firm lives up to it. Most don't, because the work happens in a hurry, by whoever's free, in whatever template was easiest to find.
-
Every asset is read by someone who matters
A pitch deck lands in front of a prospective client. A capability statement lands in front of a referrer. A LinkedIn graphic lands in front of both. Every one of them should look like the firm you actually are.
-
Consistency is the quiet win
A referrer who's seen your firm in five places, and registered the same look each time, forms an impression of a firm that has its act together. That impression is hard to buy and easy to lose. A firm whose deck doesn't match its website doesn't match its email signature is doing the opposite.
-
We can work in your tools, or ours
Some firms want us to handle the design and deliver finished assets. Others want files their team can open and edit between projects. Both are fine. Tell us which, and we'll prepare the work accordingly.
What we do
The day-to-day design work that keeps the firm looking the part across every touchpoint.
-
Presentations and documents
- Pitch decks and proposal templates.
- Document templates for advice, reports, and capability statements.
- Process diagrams and flowcharts that explain the firm's work to a referrer or prospect.
- Capability statements and credentials documents.
- Books, whitepapers, and industry reports.
-
Digital and social
- LinkedIn graphics for partners and the firm.
- Social media templates that hold up to repeated use.
- Email marketing templates and signatures.
- Digital business cards.
- Website graphics, icons, and supporting imagery.
- Photo editing, retouching, and resizing.
-
Events
- Invitations, programs, and run sheets.
- Event signage, banners, and name badges.
- Slide decks and on-screen content for speaking engagements.
- Sponsorship and partnership collateral.
-
Print and physical
- Stationery: business cards, letterhead, with-compliments slips.
- Brochures and one-pagers.
- Office signage and reception materials.
-
Templates you can actually use
- Master templates in Microsoft Office, so the next deck doesn't need a designer.
- Canva templates for the in-house marketer or EA running social and events.
- Figma or Adobe source files for whoever picks up the work after us.
- Brand application guides so the templates get used properly.
How we deliver it
Design support work happens inside an engagement model. Most firms come to us through one of these.
-

Fractional CMO & team
Ongoing design support as part of the firm's marketing function. Decks, templates, social graphics, event materials, all running consistently. Best for firms that need this happening week to week without thinking about it.
-

Projects, campaigns & tasks
Discrete design work on a fixed-fee or hourly basis. A new pitch deck template, a capability statement, a set of social templates. Best for firms with their own marketing function who need specific work delivered.
-

Brand & visual identity
When the underlying brand needs work before the day-to-day design can land properly. Templates built on a tired identity will still look tired. If that's the issue, the work starts there.
-
How does our law firm get started with design support?
Both ongoing and one-off work are on the table, and it's the first thing to sort out. If you need design happening week to week, decks, social graphics, templates, event collateral, that runs as part of a fractional engagement, with the team on hand without you thinking about it. If it's a defined piece, a new pitch deck template, a capability statement, a set of social templates, that's a project or task on a fixed fee. If you're not sure which you need, let's start with a conversation and we'll point you to the right one.
-
Can you work in our tools, or do we need yours?
We design in our own tools, then convert the work to run in yours, whether that's the Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Cloud, or the likes of Canva and Figma. In most instances, and on request, we can deliver a file your team can open, edit, and reuse. Some programs limit what's possible, the Microsoft suite in particular, so we'll be clear up front about what's fully editable and what isn't. Tell us what you use in the brief and we'll prepare the work accordingly.
-
What if we don't have brand guidelines?
We can work without them, but the work is tighter and more consistent when there's a system to design within. If you don't have guidelines, or yours are out of date, we'll flag it. Sometimes the right answer is a quick refresh of the essentials before the design work starts, sometimes it's a full brand and visual identity project. We'll tell you what fits.
-
How is this different from brand and visual identity?
Brand and visual identity builds the system: the logo, colours, fonts, and design language. Design support is the day-to-day work that lives inside it: the next deck, the next graphic, the next template. Most firms need both at some point, the brand sets the rules, design support keeps the firm living up to them. If your system itself needs work, we'll say so. If it's solid and the issue is execution, design support is the right place.
-
Can you train our team to use the templates?
Yes. When we deliver Canva or Office templates, we can run a guided session for whoever's going to use them: a marketing coordinator, an EA, a BD manager. Ask for it in the brief and we'll build it in, so the next change doesn't have to come back to us unless you want it to.
-
How quickly can you turn things around?
It depends on the scope and how the engagement is set up. Inside a fractional engagement, most day-to-day work turns around in a few days, urgent things faster. As a one-off project, we'll quote turnaround upfront.
-
Do you write the copy too, or just design?
We can do both. For straightforward layout work, we'll work with copy you supply. When a piece needs words as well, we write them, through our two writing capabilities. Content is the deeper material that proves expertise: case studies, thought leadership, capability statements, partner profiles. Communications is the announcements: a new partner, an office move, an award. We'll scope the copy into the design work and be clear in the proposal what's what.
