Why firms choose us
Defined scope, fixed fee, senior people doing the work. The marketing equivalent of "give us the brief and we'll handle it."
-
Built for delivery
If you need help working out what to do, strategy & advisory is the right place to start. If you need an ongoing marketing function, that's fractional CMO & team. This engagement model is for the moment in between: you know what needs to happen, you just need someone to do it. We're set up for that.
-
Senior people on the work
A campaign or a project gets a senior legal marketer leading it. Everything is handled by people who've done them a hundred times for firms like yours. Nobody's learning on your job.
-
Scope and price defined upfront
Every engagement, whether it's a small one-off task or a large campaign, has a defined scope and a fixed fee or hourly cap. You know what you're getting and what it costs before we start.
Three engagements, three kinds of work
Partners don't think in marketing categories. They think in moments. We're launching a new office is a campaign. Our CRM needs sorting out is a project. The bio photos are wrong is a task. Pick the one that fits, or tell us what's going on and we'll point you to the right one.
Each engagement includes:
- A clear briefWe confirm the scope, the deliverable, and the timeline in writing before any work starts
- Senior people doing the workNo layer of junior account managers between you and the work
- Fixed fee or hourly capYou know what it costs upfront. No invoice surprises
- A single point of contactOne person you deal with, from brief to delivery
- The right specialists on the workDesigners, content writers, developers, paid media, video, drawn from our team and trusted network as the work requires

Which engagement is right for us?
Tasks are for small, defined jobs that take hours, not weeks. Projects are for larger one-off work with a clear deliverable. Campaigns are coordinated pushes for a practice area or the whole firm, usually over a few months. If you're not sure which one your work fits into, let's have a conversation and we'll point you to the right one.
-
Do you have minimum or maximum engagement sizes?
Tasks start at $250, which is our minimum engagement. Above that, campaigns and projects are quoted against their scope, with the prices listed on this page as starting points. We've taken on $500 fixes and $50,000 campaigns under this service. What matters is whether the scope is defined.
-
What can you actually deliver on?
Most of it, across the work covered on our services page. When something falls outside what we do, we bring in a trusted partner to handle it, and we'll always tell you when that's the case. If it's not something we can help with at all, we'll point you toward someone who can, where we're able to.
-
Can you work alongside our in-house marketer?
Yes. About half of the work we do is for firms with their own marketing function who need specific capability they don't have in-house, or extra hands when something's running hot. We work with your marketer, not around them.
-
When is payment due?
For tasks under $1,000, we invoice on completion or within thirty days of the start date, whichever comes first. For larger tasks, projects, and campaigns, we'll usually ask for some combination of an upfront payment, a deposit or the full amount, or staged payments against a schedule. We confirm the arrangement in the proposal and service agreement.
-
Who leads the work?
A senior legal marketer is the point of contact and brief-owner on every engagement. They pull in the right specialists from our team as the work requires. You deal with one person, and they coordinate the rest.
-
How quickly can you turn things around?
Tasks usually take a few days, and some can be turned around same or next day depending on urgency and our capacity. Projects and campaigns are scoped per engagement, with a timeline confirmed in writing before we start.
-
What if the job turns out to be bigger than we scoped?
Sometimes it does, usually because the firm shifts direction partway through, or the work uncovers something the original brief didn't account for. If that happens, we stop and tell you before going further, then quote the larger piece so you can decide. Whatever you've already paid is credited toward it. You're never billed for more than you agreed without saying yes first.
-
What if we want to change the work?
Every engagement includes revisions within the agreed scope. If you want to take it in a different direction from what we agreed, we'll quote the additional work before doing it.
